CanadianDriver reports that Shell is ready to produce 15 parts per million sulphur diesel.
Calgary, Alberta - Shell Canada Limited has announced the successful completion of its $400 million construction of two hydrotreaters to produce ultra low sulphur diesel fuel at its Montreal East and Scotford refineries. The project has been completed prior to new federal regulations that take effect on June 1, 2006.
Looks like diesel, in the same quality as Europe, is finally available. Now come the vehicles with latest generation catalytic and particulate exhaust setups and we get “cleaner diesel”.

I’ve written alot about the idea, but now CEO Kyoji Takenaka of Subaru explain that diesel engines are coming for 2007-08 due to the fact that Toyota will handle the next-generation hybrid work, allowing AWD company to focus on diesels.
