Tulsarama!
June 1957 – Residents of Tulsa, Oklahoma are enjoying their state ’s anniversary in a party called “Tulsarama!” Most every city around the country enjoys parties; it’s a tradition throughout the United States. Tulsa representatives decided they needed something unique and different in order to compete with Oklahoma City. They decided to entomb an automobile in a time capsule, using a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere as the car of choice.
