Although JEEP has publicly decided that car featuring their label need not survive the Rubicon Trail, they still produce ones that could.

The 2004.5 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a good answer to the rather cramped original models, helps with road-holding and towing capacity as well.

Now, they should shoehorn a Mercedes diesel in there and call it a real utility vehicle. This one is to own.
